GotNews Editor-in-Chief Charles C. Johnson has matched journalist Mike Cernovich’s $10,000 offer for details of the Congressional Office of Compliance’s sexual harassment settlements, taking the reward for information to a whopping $20,000.
Johnson announced Thursday night that he will also pay $10,000 to anyone who can provide him with verifiable proof of any sitting United States Senator or swing-district Representative who used taxpayer dollars from this “hush fund” to pay off his sexual harassment and/or sexual assault victims. Johnson will pay $5,000 for such information on any member of the House of Representatives not from a swing district.
On Tuesday, Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) dropped a bombshell, alleging Congress has paid some $15 million over the past decade in harassment settlements. Soon after, the Congressional Office of Compliance clarified that figure includes discrimination claims as well as harassment settlements.
However, on Thursday, the Office of Compliance released data from the last 20 years confirming it has paid a staggering $17,240,854 in 264 different harassment settlements alone:

With this revelation, Cernovich announced later that day via Twitter that he “will pay $10,000 for the details of these settlements.” The journalist and documentary filmmaker also guaranteed anonymity to potential whistleblowers, declaring “I’ll go to jail for a source.”
Now, lawmakers with skeletons in their closets have even more to fear, as the reward for Senators and swing-district Representatives has doubled – and the reward for other Congressmen has increased by $5,000.

Washington, DC has been on edge ever since the #MeToo campaign took off; a recent CNN piece featured some 50 women describing how pervasive sexual harassment on Capitol Hill.
Yesterday, Democrat Senator Al Franken was busted for forcibly kissing reporter Leeann Tweeden in 2006 and groping her while she was asleep. Franken now faces an ethics investigation and growing calls to resign from liberal celebrities and activists.
It remains to be seen whether the lucrative $20,000 reward will shed light on similar allegations on other members of Congress.
