Early and bold GotNews reporting on the July 6th Falcon Heights, Minnesota police self-defense shooting of Philando Castile played a huge role in the Friday acquittal of St. Anthony Police Officer Jeronimo Yanez. Despite enemies in the Black Lives Matter terror organization and BLM’s radicalizing allies in the mainstream media, a St. Paul jury backed Yanez’s decision to use lethal force against Castile—especially since, as GotNews pointed out July 9th, the police who pulled over Castile considered him a suspect in an armed robbery due to his resemblance to a figure caught on a security camera trying to hold up a convenience store.
GotNews accurately predicted that Yanez would be exonerated on all charges against him, including manslaughter
One of the responding officers said on dispatch during the traffic stop:
“The two occupants [Castile and his lying side bitch Diamond Reynolds] just look like people that were involved in a robbery. The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose.”
One GotNews reader discovered our report linking Castile to the convenience store robbery and notified St. Anthony Police Chief Jon Mangseth 10 days after the incident.
The notorious Chuck C. Johnson wrote about Castile being an armed robber (100% false) – someone believed it and sent it to the police chief. pic.twitter.com/Yjie8ZTOst

Dashcam footage released by authorities and shown to the Yanez jury shows why GotNews was right to be skeptical of the Black Lives Matter narrative. Officers clearly asked Castile to not reach for his gun during the July traffic stop, Castile went for the gun anyway and Yanez reacted as he had to with lethal force.
GotNews reporting called into question the character of Reynolds who was in the car with Castile and who served to hype and mislead about the shooting by streaming its immediate graphic aftermath onto Facebook Live. We exposed Reynolds for smoking weed around her child and for her contradictory public statements about her romantic relationship with Castile. GotNews broke through the media anti-truth firewall to ensure an innocent officer’s acquittal—despite YouTube censoring our research and prostitute-hiring Snopes editors lying that the officers hadn’t connected Castile to an armed robbery.
After the Friday verdict, Castile’s mother Valerie took to Facebook to attempt to incite a riot, violence against Yanez and to attack white people.
