In light of BuzzFeed and Talking Points Memo’s hit pieces on Ted Cruz and college drinking, Gotnews.com did some investigating of Ted Cruz’s college past.
This is one of the devastating articles that we found about him in the Daily Princetonian. Here’s one from April 20, 1992.
We were particularly taken by this sentence from the young man who would become Washington’s most hated politician.
Forensic skill is as useful to today’s Princetonians as it was in the 18th century, says Cruz, a Woodrow Wilson School major who comes from Houston, Texas. “Debating teaches you to identify underlying principles and to grasp the significant issues in any argument, regardless of your particular expertise. You learn to think analytically, to structure an argument and to speak clearly. “A good debater is like a good elementary school teacher: he or she explains complicated concepts in a simple and interesting way.”
Perhaps that explains why he schooled Senator Feinstein on the Second Amendment.
