Forty-five year old David Merck was arrested in Hollywood on Thursday, and charged with felony battery, due to accusations made by NCIS actress Pauley Perrette.
The actress tweeted about the alleged attack, stating that “she almost died” after she was “jumped by a very psychotic homeless man” while walking from her home to a new space she bought across the street.
Pauley, who has a documented history of making false accusations, does know a thing or two about mental health. Perrette was previously committed to the psychiatric ward of Cedar-Sinai Hospital, for “an extended period” of time, according to a declaration filed by her former best friend, Lisa Lynch. In her statement, Lisa also says that Pauley “makes false statements knowingly and willingly” and that her behavior can be “vindictive, manipulative, victimizing, untruthful, morally wrong”, and in her opinion, “obsessive”.
Pauley Perrette is alleging that the man grabbed her by the arm, pinned her arm and punched her in the nose and forehead repeatedly, while telling her he was going to kill her. Not only that, but according to her, the homeless man also kept repeating his name, “William”, over and over. She says that she got away after she prayed to God and told the man that William was a beautiful name, her little nephew’s name.
It’s hard to imagine how somebody could have had that conversation during a violent physical attack. Pauley stated that she was sure he was going to kill her. “There was an empty garage behind me and I knew if he got me in there I was dead. I knew I couldn’t overcome him”, she said. There are no indications that the man would have taken Pauley to the garage, besides her own imagination of how she was going to die.
It’s also hard to understand how somebody who was repeatedly punched in the face has no bruises to tell the story. The actress appeared on national TV just one day after the alleged attack, with no visible bruises on her face, awkwardly stating that her face looked rather “swollen” and that her nose was “red”.
LAPD booked a man by the name of David Merck, found at a nearby 7Eleven, after Pauley drew a picture of the man and took it to the police. There is no evidence, besides her tes-timony, that this is how the incident took place. GotNews.com would bet that Pauley Perrette is lying, and that whatever confrontation may have occurred, it didn’t happen quite how the actress described.
Currently, Pauley’s ex-husband, actor and musician Francis Shivers, who filed for divorce from the actress in 2004, is serving a nine months sentence at the Los Angeles County Jail for the alleged violation of a restraining order. When the case went to trial, Pauley offered proven perjured testimony to help the prosecution get a conviction. Francis Shivers has always stated that he is innocent and that his ex had been trying to set him up for years to come out as the victim in the story.
This story is developing. David Merck is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, November 16.
