Investigative journalist Laura Loomer is now exclusively reporting that Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino security guard Jesus Campos started working for the hotel on June 30th, 2017, just a few months before the deadliest shooting in United States history.
Citing a source in law enforcement, Loomer broke the news this afternoon on Twitter, noting Campos’ “very recent employment.”:
Very recent employment.

Campos is at the center of two recent timeline changes authorities have made in the past week. Originally, it was reported that he interrupted gunman Stephen Paddock’s shooting spree. Over a week later, authorities changed the narrative, claiming Campos was shot six minutes before Paddock opened fire on the concertgoers. Since then, they have corrected themselves again, now claiming Paddock shot Campos just seconds before the massacre.
Previously, Loomer reported that Campos has been scrubbed from Workday, the hotel’s employee database. She has also traveled twice to his residence, including immediately after he canceled five television interviews and went missing.
“Sources in intelligence and law enforcement have provided me with a comprehensive report on Jesus Campos,” Loomer told GotNews. “His employment history shows that at the time of the shooting, he had only been an employee of Mandalay Bay for three months.”
Loomer said this new information raises even more questions. “Given the fact that he was reportedly the last person to see Stephen Paddock alive and is now under a gag order, his short term employment is rather suspicious,” Loomer explained. “I will continue releasing information about Jesus Campos and other key figures in the investigation since law enforcement and the mainstream media have refused to.”
