Jeremy Bird, the Obama advisor who is off to Israel to defeat Netanyahu, appears to have been involved in a kickback scheme involving a liberal congressional candidate, Gotnews.com has learned.
Left-wing congressional candidate Ro Khanna gave money to Jeremy C Bird’s 270 Strategies to consult for Khanna’s failed congress bid. Khanna, an attorney based in Silicon Valley, was a former Obama administration official who took on Rep. Mike Honda and was narrowly defeated.
Now the team who brought us Obama is working to defeat Netanyahu. “270 Strategies’ team of 45 staffers includes 16 members who worked directly for Obama’s campaigns,” reports Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily. “Most of the former Obama staffers hold the senior posts at the firm.”
Bird, who had been Obama’s 2012 national field director, was Khanna’s campaign consultant. “Ro is going to run a 21st-century campaign that takes the lessons learned from both the Obama campaigns,” with deep data analysis, a big social-media drive, block-by-block organizing and more, Bird said to the press at the time.

Bird, his wife Betsy Hoover, and two other 270 Strategies employees gave the money back to Khanna as donations on almost the exact same day. Three gave money on December 29th, 2013. The fourth employee gave money on December 31, 2013.
Khanna’s campaign was managed by 270 Strategies and many old Obama hands. Mark Beatty was Obama’s deputy battleground-states director in 2012. There was even a controversial plan to have interns pay $5,000 to Bird’s organization.
Bird’s firm, 270 Strategies, is also involved in the “Ready for Hillary” effort urging Hillary Clinton to run for president.

Bird, who founded Battleground Texas to help elect Wendy Davis, did not return requests for comment.
