The satirical French tabloid Charlie Hebdo once promised to publish Iranian-sponsored lampoons of the Holocaust.
Despite a strict plea from the then-French president, Charlie Hebdo published the Danish Mohammed cartoons in 2006.
To follow it up, the publication promised to publish some anti-Semitic anti-Holocaust cartoons commissioned by Iran, according to the New York Times. (Craig S. Smith, “Next Step by Weekly in Paris May Be to Mock the Holocaust,” New York Times, February 8, 2006)
Gotnews.com couldn’t find out if the publication printed the anti-Semitic cartoons or not.
