GotNews.com has found what may be the oldest known video of Matt Drudge and Andrew Breitbart.
The discussion was about “News Norms” and took place at the University of Southern California on December 18, 1997.
Andrew Breitbart asked a question of the panel comparing Matt Drudge and Hunter S. Thompson.
“Over the last thirty years Hunter S. Thompson has been given carte blanche to skew journalistic standards without much of an uproar from the press at large while Matt is getting demonized as right leaning has had hundreds of journalists go after him mostly friends of those people who have been ‘attacked’ by Matt.”
Michael Kinsley, then the publisher and editor of Slate.com, responded by asking if Breitbart’s question implied liberal bias on the part of the media. Breitbart responded that he wasn’t implying it but seeing.
Kinsley also said that Drudge was having his 15 minutes of fame… in 1997.
Drudge does not appear to recognize Andrew Breitbart in the video so it may be the first time they ever met.
