Gotnews.com has investigated the terror ties of the Addawa mosque, the controversial mosque that the Charlie Hebdo killers attended.
Both Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi attended a Islamic-linked mosque that is one of Paris’s largest. Bertrand Delanoé, Paris’s Socialist mayor until April 2014, approved a plan in 2001 to make the mosque, which currently meets in a clothing factory, the largest in Europe.
The mosque’s official website includes three main sponsors, all of them with terrorist ties, according to this French article.
The mosque is backed by three controversial Muslim leaders: the Egyptian Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the Syrian Said Ramadan Al-Bouthi and Egyptian Omar Abdelkafy.
Yusuf al-Qaradawi was arrested earlier this month by Egyptian authorities for his terrorist ties.
Syrian imam Said Ramadan Al-Bouthi was killed by a suicide bomber in 2013 for his support of Basher al-Assad.
Omar Abdelkafy continues to preach that women who don’t wear the headscarf are unclean and not good Muslims.
