The Department of Justice and Senator Claire McCaskill’s office have been falsely leaking claims that Darren Wilson and Tom Jackson will resign, GotNews.com has learned.
Jackson initially offered to resign if he thought it would quell the violence in Ferguson, a high-ranking police officer told Gotnews.com.
“The DOJ’s office and Senator McCaskill’s office even offered ‘incentives’ or what I call them ‘bribes’ to force Jackson and Wilson out but then began leaking details of the confidential negotiations. Jackson, at that point, said that the negotiations weren’t continuing in good faith and stopped them,” the officer told us.
“They’re doing it as part of a ‘sweeping changes,'” a top ranked police officer with knowledge of the Ferguson situation told GotNews.com. “The DOJ is trying to save there’s racial bias in the Ferguson police department but there isn’t.”
GotNews.com spoke with several police sources who said that Holder’s Justice Department is trying to save face by forcing resignations but that both Darren Wilson and Tom Jackson refused to play ball.
