Hypocrisy: Black Louisiana Judge Threatened With Jail For Lying About Residency While Elite Mary Landrieu Gets A Pass
Is Louisiana racist?
A black woman judge lied about her address but a white woman U.S. senator can apparently continue lying about hers.
The white woman senator’s brother, who is mayor, repeatedly tried to jail the black woman judge for doing the exact same thing as his sister.
U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu has come under fire for lying about living in Louisiana while her brother, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, targets black judge Yolanda King for lying about hers.

On March 20, 2014, Nola.com ran the following:
Orleans Parish Juvenile Court Judge Yolanda King, a relative newcomer to the bench, was indicted Thursday on charges of lying about where she lives.
King, 56, did not appear in court to hear the charges against her read. Prosecutors agreed not to pursue a warrant for her immediate arrest, allowing instead for King to turn herself in for booking.
She was indicted on two charges: executing a false affidavit and filing a false public record.
Executing a false affidavit carries a penalty of up to 2 years in prison and fines of up to $2,000. Filing a false public record carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison and fines of up to $5,000. [Emphasis added]
Those are exactly the charges that Landrieu ought to be facing.
Yolanda King was the target of Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s ire who officially sought to save money by abolishing her judgeship.
King’s lawyers argued she was being punished for political reasons.
