Oscar de la Renta did wedding dresses for both Hillary Clinton’s daughter and her personal assistant and was rewarded with a lavish exhibit in the tax payer-funded Clinton library, Gotnews.com has learned.
The Oscar de la Renta: American Icon exhibit debuted to much fanfare in Little Rock in 2013 after de la Renta had done two dresses for the Clinton empire in 2010. It’s unclear if those dresses were purchased or donated but either way they ought to have been disclosed on government gift disclosure forms.
Gotnews.com editor-in-chief Charles C. Johnson first reported on how the late fashion designer did the $50,000 wedding dresses for Hillary Clinton’s daughter and surrogate daughter and aide, Huma Abedin, in 2010.
Neither Abedin, nor her husband, Anthony Weiner, reported the dress or the wedding on their disclosure forms. (De la Renta was reportedly “very, very sorry” for Abedin after Weiner was caught sending dick pics again.)
The tailored dress made all the gossip magazines.

The Dominican-born designer made clothes for Nancy Reagan and Ann Romney but he was especially close to Hillary Clinton.
He designed both Clinton inaugural dresses.
