Why is Paul Ryan’s top advisor Dan Senor trashing Paul Ryan-endorsed Donald Trump privately and publicly?
Do Senor and Paul Ryan still think a ban on Muslim immigration is “not who we are” now that a Muslim child of immigrants have massacred gays dancing?
How can Ryan and Senor think themselves supporters of gay rights when they have pursued policies that have led to more gays dying?
Paul Ryan’s top advisor Dan Senor has pushed policies that eroded border controls between the U.S. & Canada, advanced a disastrous strategy in the Iraq war, favors amnesty for illegal immigrants, and is militantly anti-Trump.
“Mr. Ryan’s associates say he has also been repulsed by Mr. Trump’s bombastic tone and proposals like his call to ban Muslim immigrants and visitors,” wrote the New York Times on May 12, 2016, citing unnamed associates.
Was Senor that associate? We don’t know because neither Senor nor Ryan will answer any questions. Perhaps Ryan’s constituents can ask them?
GotNews’s neocon sources and Fox News tell us that Senor is a part of Ryan’s shadow war against Donald Trump. Senor, we are told, is privately working with big neocon GOP donors to pressure establishment politicians like Senator Mark Kirk to “unendorse” Donald Trump. We asked Senor about these allegations via email and he did not reply.
Here’s what we asked and later sent to Paul Ryan’s press secretary Ashlee Strong.
Long time, no chat. Congratulations on Paul Ryan’s rise to speakership after I forced Kevin McCarthy to step down.
I’m just checking with you if you still oppose a ban on Muslim immigration in light of the most deadly attack on American soil. https://www.youtube.com/watch?
I’ve also noticed that you have been trashing Trump on your Twitter page. I’ve also heard from several donors that you’re pressing them to oppose Donald Trump, the candidate who you said on Charlie Rose’s show would definitely be defeated in November.
On what basis did you make that prediction? And do you think your actions, given your official boss’s endorsement of Trump, are wise?
Does Speaker Ryan know about your tweets and your extracurricular activity? And are you doing it at his behest or direction?
