Henry Barbour ran the pro-Thad Cochran Mississippi Conservatives PAC and the Republican National Committee’s autopsy report. Above Barbour identifies himself as pro-amnesty for illegal immigration.
Multiple reports are coming in to Gotnews.com that Barbour is trying to distance himself from the controversial, race baiting ads that depicted Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel as a racist. But the evidence tells a different story.
Multiple reports are coming in to Gotnews.com that Barbour is trying to distance himself from the controversial, race baiting ads that depicted Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel as a racist.
Barbour has been telling sources in and around the DC area that Ruth Harris, a previously unheard of Democrat operative from Jackson, Mississippi was behind some of the racist ads, a claim that isn’t sitting well with DC politicos who are watching Barbour “furiously spin to save his career.”
A DC analyst who asked not to be named explains:
He’s basically saying… yeah I confessed to SOME of the racist radio ads after illegally concealing them by failing to file 24hr reports… but I totally have NOTHING to do with other racist radio ads, and i’ve found somebody to tell you she did it all without my involvement.
And of course this is the same guy who confessed to robocalls, then tried to walk back [to National Review’s Eliana Johnson], deny they were his even though he supposedly never listened to his. Spinning furiously to try to save his career.
I would also point out the absurdity of his “justification defense.” Events happened in this order:
1. Barbour says: our strategy is to appeal to Democrats! We hired Scooby Doo!
2. Jenny Beth Martin says: hey they are trying to get Democrats to raid the primary. They said so.
3. Barbour says: ZOMG they said “Democrats”; that’s racist code! Now I am fully justified in funding Mitzi Bickers, Ronnie Crudup, Arthur Siggers, et. al. to race bait because Jenny Beth Martin said the word “Democrats”! It’s her fault!
Gotnews.com will publish more on Henry Barbour in the coming days.
