Posters appeared overnight in West Hollywood, California featuring a gay version of the Gadsden Flag featuring a rattlesnake on top of the gay rainbow. The flags had the hashtag #ShootBack indicating a more proactive approach to gay self-defense.
The posters were attracting attention in front of the Pacific Design Center, The Abbey, West Hollywood City Hall and in front of artist ChadMichael Morrisette’s house who covered the roof of his house with 50 mannequins to make a statement about the Orlando shootings.
GotNews asked Brandon Combs, president of the Firearms Policy Coalition what he thought of the posters:
Law-abiding gun owners know that an attack on the LBGT community is an attack on all of us. We will continue to find ways to support the Pink Pistols and promote firearm training for our LGBT friends so they can shoot back if necessary.
